✈️ Incheon Airport Pickup Guide

⚠️ Please check the operating hours of your designated pickup / ID scan location before arrival.
If you arrive outside these hours, please see the KoreaUSIM Office — Pickup & ID Scan Support section below.

Step 1. Check Your Confirmation Information
After purchase, check the Korea Prepaid SIM pickup information or voucher sent by KoreaUSIM.

Step 2. Visit the Designated Location
After arriving at Incheon International Airport, visit the Terminal 1 or Terminal 2 pickup / ID scan location indicated in your confirmation information.

Step 3. Present Your Pickup Information and ID
Please bring:

• Your Korea Prepaid SIM pickup information or voucher
• The passport or eligible ID required for activation

Step 4. Pick Up Your Korea Prepaid SIM
Present your pickup information and receive your Korea Prepaid SIM.

If you selected LG U+ eSIM Conversion, no physical SIM card is issued. You only need to complete the required activation ID scan at the designated location.

Step 5. Complete the Required Activation ID Scan
Complete the required ID scan at the designated location. The Korea Prepaid SIM pickup and activation ID scan can normally be completed during the same visit, and the scanning process itself only takes a short time.

🔴 Even if you submitted your passport or ID information to KoreaUSIM before arrival, a separate activation ID scan is still required before your Korea Prepaid SIM can be activated.

The KoreaUSIM Office is not the default pickup location for airport pickup orders. If your designated Incheon Airport pickup / ID scan location is open, you should normally complete your prepaid SIM pickup and required activation ID scan at the airport.

Depending on your situation, the KoreaUSIM Office may assist with prepaid SIM pickup, activation ID scanning, or ARC / Residence Card re-scanning.

LG U+ Prepaid eSIM Conversion customers do not receive a physical prepaid SIM, but the required activation ID scan still applies. If necessary, KoreaUSIM may instruct these customers to complete an ID scan or re-scan at the office.

The KoreaUSIM Office is closed on Sundays and Korean public holidays.

⚠️ The complimentary data SIM/eSIM and your Korea Prepaid SIM are separate products and are received in different ways.

🔴 The SKT Roaming Center is NOT the same location as the Korea Prepaid SIM pickup / ID scan location. Please check the table below to avoid confusion.

LG U+ — Foreign Nationals Using a Passport
For possible same-day activation, please complete immigration, carrier entry confirmation, and the required passport scan before 6:00 PM. If you arrive later but the airport scan location is still open, please complete the passport scan anyway for next-day activation.

SKT — Foreign Nationals Using a Passport
For possible same-day activation, please complete the required passport scan by 7:00 PM. If you arrive later but the airport scan location is still open, please complete the passport scan anyway for next-day activation.

Korean Nationals / Customers Using a Valid ARC or Residence Card
Please complete the required activation request and ID scan before 7:00 PM. Korean nationals must use a Korean passport. Customers with a valid ARC / Residence Card must use the physical card and complete the required ID scanner process.

⚠️ The carrier activation system closes earlier on Saturdays.

LG U+ — Foreign Nationals Using a Passport
Please complete entry confirmation and the required passport scan before 5:00 PM. If you arrive later but the airport scan location is still open, please complete the passport scan anyway for next-day activation.

SKT — Foreign Nationals Using a Passport
Please complete the required passport scan by 6:00 PM. If you arrive later but the airport scan location is still open, please complete the passport scan anyway for next-day activation.

Korean Nationals / Customers Using a Valid ARC or Residence Card
Please complete the required activation request and ID scan by 6:00 PM.

🔴 Same-day activation and KoreaUSIM office visits are not available on Sundays or Korean public holidays.

If carrier activation services resume the following day, pending activations are normally processed after approximately 11:00 AM, and KoreaUSIM will contact you after activation is completed.

Please note that during certain major holidays, including Lunar New Year (Seollal) and Chuseok, carrier activation centers may remain closed for part or all of the holiday period.

Because carrier holiday schedules may vary, activation on the following day cannot always be guaranteed. In these cases, activation will be processed on the next available carrier processing day, and KoreaUSIM will inform you of the expected activation schedule.

🔴 Important — Passport Scan Is Still Required Even If Same-Day Activation Is Not Available

The same-day activation cutoff only determines whether your prepaid service may be activated on the same day. It does not mean that you can skip the required passport scan.

Please do not skip the airport ID scan simply because same-day activation is no longer available.

If the designated airport ID scan location is still open, please complete the required passport scan on the day you arrive in Korea, even if the same-day activation cutoff has already passed. This scan is required so KoreaUSIM can prepare and process your activation on the following day or the next available carrier processing day.

This also applies to customers who selected LG U+ Prepaid eSIM Conversion.
Even though you do not need to receive a physical prepaid SIM, you must still visit the designated airport scan location and complete the required passport scan.

If you arrive outside the operating hours of the airport scan location, such as early in the morning, the scan cannot be completed at the airport at that time. Please follow the alternative procedure advised by KoreaUSIM.

⚠️ If you have a valid ARC / Residence Card, you must use it for activation. The physical card must be scanned using the required ID scanner.

If activation cannot be completed on the same day because of arrival after the applicable cutoff, a Sunday, public holiday, or carrier holiday closure, you may need to visit the KoreaUSIM office on the actual activation day advised by KoreaUSIM and scan the physical ARC / Residence Card again.

Because an ARC / Residence Card scan is valid only for a limited activation-processing period, a scan completed too early may need to be completed again on the actual activation day.

🔴 Even when the applicable same-day conditions are met, activation may occasionally be delayed due to carrier system issues, activation-system cutoffs, entry-confirmation delays, or other carrier processing conditions.

If same-day activation cannot be completed, KoreaUSIM will contact you and advise you of the next activation schedule.
